About Me

I am a self-taught wire artist; my studio is in a 150 year old “conch house” in Old Town Key West this is where I create my own unique designs. This is my second career; after graduating from a small New England college as the first female physics major I taught for twenty years. When I am not making jewelry I’m working on the waters of Key West. My jobs have included selling the catch for commercial fishing boats as the mate on the “Alexis M” taking NOAA scientists to the Dry Tortugas. Captain Richard and I own a bait business, casting for majua and pilchards, trapping pin fish and crabs and sponging. Some of my jewelry creations are made from coral found on the beaches of Key West and I use our sponges in my displays. My newest inspiration is Lady, when she is not boating she sits with me while I make jewelry.
